Regular Season Round 10: M.Hainaut - Aalstar 77-81

There was a minor upset when one of their biggest challengers Dexia Mons-Hainaut (5-4) lost to sixth ranked Okapi Aalstar (5-4) in Quaregnon 77-81 on Saturday. Dexia Mons-Hainaut trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 21-12 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 77-81 at the end of the game. It was a great shooting night for Okapi Aalstar especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. Dexia Mons-Hainaut was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American-Lithuanian power forward Christopher Young (206-79, college: Michigan, agency: Court Side) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Stefon Jackson (196-85, college: UTEP) contributed with 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Sean Singletary (183-85, college: Virginia) replied with 16 points, 7 assists and 9 steals and his fellow American import power forward Warren Carter (205-85, college: Illinois) added 15 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Dexia Mons-Hainaut. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Okapi Aalstar moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Dexia Mons-Hainaut. Okapi Aalstar will face league's second-placed Leuven Bears at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Dexia Mons-Hainaut will play against VOO Verviers-Pepinster.
