Very predictable result when sixth ranked ALM Evreux (6-4) defeated at home 16th ranked Quimper UJAP (3-7) 73-61 on Tuesday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. ALM Evreux looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American power forward Jeremiah Wood (200-85, agency: Court Side) had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import point guard Austen Rowland (186-81, college: Lehigh, agency: Court Side) chipped in 13 points and 11 assists during the contest. Four ALM Evreux players scored in double figures. At the losing side Liberian-American Pele Paelay (193-84, college: Co.Carolina) responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds and Nigerian-British power forward Andrew Lovedale (203-85, college: Davidson) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Quimper UJAP's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. ALM Evreux have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Chalons-Reims and Fos Ouest. Loser Quimper UJAP dropped to the fourteenth position with seven games lost. ALM Evreux will face Chalons-Reims (#7) at home in the next round. Quimper UJAP will play against the league's leader Boulazac Basket (#1).
