Round 14 in PLK means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Kolobrzeg where host Kotwica (7-6) beat league's leader PGE Turow (10-3) 64-54 on Saturday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Kotwica. PGE Turow managed to win third quarter 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was naturalized Israeli guard Oded Brandwein (188-88) who scored 16 points and 7 assists. The former international center Tomasz Kesicki (212-86, agency: Promotex) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. The former international guard Michal Chylinski (199-86, agency: Interperformances) produced 11 points and naturalized German forward Konrad Wysocki (201-82, college: Princeton, agency: Pro One Sports) added 11 points respectively for the guests. PGE Turow's coach Jacek Winnicki rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Kotwica moved-up to sixth place. PGE Turow at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Energa Czarni who have the same record. PGE Turow will play next round against PBG Basket trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Kotwica will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked AZS Koszalin on the road.
