Bottom-ranked Kozuv managed to get a second victory, breaking the six-game losing streak. This time newly promoted Kozuv won against eighth-ranked ABA Strumica in Gergelija 91-82. ABA Strumica was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 27-14 third quarter run of Kozuv. They made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. ABA Strumica was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of D.Bulut Domovic who helped to win the game recording 27 points (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and power forward Dejan Vegov (205-83, college: Blinn JC) who added 15 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American center Clive Weeden (205-87, college: Dartmouth) with 19 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and his fellow American import center John Chappell (208, college: S.Carolina) scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kozuv (2-9) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with defeated ABA Strumica. ABA Strumica lost third consecutive game. Kozuv will play against higher ranked Kumanovo 2009 (#5) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. ABA Strumica will play against Fersped-Rabotnicki in Skopje and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
