Regular Season Round 16: BK Prostejov - BC Kolin 81-82

The most interesting game of round 16 in the NBL was only one-point a home defeat of 3rd ranked BK Prostejov (12-3) to second ranked BC Kolin (13-2) 82-81. It ended the five-game winning streak of BK Prostejov. It was a key game for the second position in the league. BK Prostejov was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 6-point lead after three quarters before a 24-17 charge of BC Kolin, which allowed them to win the game. They made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Rashaan Ames (184-78, college: Shaw) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 6 rebounds and forward David Machac (204-80) who added 14 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Four BC Kolin players scored in double figures. At the losing side American center Travis Peterson (208-85, college: Samford, agency: Edge Sports) responded with 15 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Jamar Smith (191-87, college: S.Indiana, agency: KMG Sports Management) scored 16 points. BK Prostejov's coach Zbynek Choleva tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. BC Kolin have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 13-2 record behind leader CEZ Nymburk. BK Prostejov at the other side dropped to the fourth place with three games lost. BC Kolin are looking forward to face BK Pardubice (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. BK Prostejov will play against BK Usti nad Labem and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
