Very expected game in Frankfurt where 10th ranked Fraport Skyliners II (2-10) was edged by fourth ranked USC Leipzig (9-3) 81-78 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 44-40 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Fraport Skyliners II outrebounded USC Leipzig 42-30 including 31 on the defensive glass. American forward Monyea Pratt (196-85, college: Stillman) scored 19 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Ralph Schirmer (203-86) chipped in 9 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. American guard Larry Wright (187-87, college: Oakland) responded with 24 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Demetrius Jemison (203, college: Manhattan) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Four Fraport Skyliners II players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. USC Leipzig moved-up to second place in Group South, which they share with Noerdlingen and BSW Sixers. Fraport Skyliners II lost third consecutive game.
