Everything could happen in Leverkusen at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked Bayer Giants and 10th ranked SC Rist Wedel had identical 4-8 record. This time Bayer Giants used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Wedel 85-81 on Sunday night. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Bayer Giants (5-8) moved-up to tenth place in Group North. SC Rist Wedel lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with nine games lost. Bayer Giants will face higher ranked BSV Wulfen (#8) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. SC Rist Wedel will play against SC Rasta Vechta.
