Christos Tapoutos scored 14 points and Aris overcame visiting Groningen in Round 4 of EuroCup regular season. The victory carried the Hellenes at 3-1 record in Group C. Groningen in the meantime suffered the fourth loss in a row to stay winless. Aris scored 25 points in the starting frame to eke out a 3-point lead. They stiffened their defence in the second quarter. Aris limited GasTerra Flames to 11 points building a 48:33 halftime buffer. Groningen tried to change the complexion of the encounter in the third term. They added aggressiveness to their defensive game and managed to hold the hosts to 9 points in the period. But Aris reacted with a 22 points in the final term and earned a well-deserved win at the end. Dominic James nailed 13 points, while Sergio Kerusch had 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. David Bell answered with 17 points for Groningen. Avis Wyatt produced 14 points and 10 rebounds in the loss.
