Baltic League top team - Lithuanian Siauliai (8-0) managed to deliver another win on Friday. This time they beat eighth ranked Estonian Tartu Ulikool (3-7) 109-94. The game was mostly controlled by Siauliai. Tartu Ulikool managed to win fourth quarter 27-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Siauliai dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Tartu Ulikool's 50. It was a great shooting night for Siauliai especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. American guard Cam Long (193-88, college: George Mason) nailed 22 points and 5 assists for the winning side and American-Samoan point guard Rashaun Broadus (183-84, college: BYU) accounted for 14 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. American forward Bill Amis (205-87, college: Hawaii) came up with 23 points and 8 rebounds and guard Kristo Saage (184-85) added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Tartu Ulikool in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Siauliai have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place in Elite with 8-0 record. Tartu Ulikool lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with seven games lost. Siauliai will meet Kalev/Cramo (#4) in the next round. Tartu Ulikool will have a break next round.
