Regular Season Round 17: Loko Plzen - USK Praha 64-70

There was no surprise when 12th ranked BK Loko Plzen (5-12) was defeated at home by sixth ranked USK Praha (10-7) 70-64. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Slovakian center Peter Sedmak (207-85) nailed a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and international forward Vojtech Hruban (202-89) accounted for 10 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Ladislav Toth (196-83) came up with 17 points and 5 rebounds and forward Ladislav Pecka (197-91) added 12 points respectively for BK Loko Plzen in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for USK Praha. They maintain sixth place with 10-7 record. BK Loko Plzen lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the tenth position with 12 games lost. USK Praha's next round opponent will be higher ranked BC Kolin (#3) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BK Loko Plzen will play against NH Ostrava (#7).
