Very predictable result in Sevilla where eighth ranked Cajasol (6-5) beat bottom-ranked Blancos de Rueda (2-9) 87-73 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Cajasol. Blancos de Rueda was better in second period 24-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Cajasol dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Blancos de Rueda's 32. Blancos de Rueda was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American center Paul Davis (211-84, college: Michigan St.) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds. Serbian guard Milenko Tepic (198-87, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 20 points. Cajasol's coach Joan Plaza used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Argentinian guard Diego Garcia (190-79) produced 17 points and French-Ivorian forward Herve Toure (202-82) added 15 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively for the guests. Cajasol moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Valencia and Fuenlabrada. Blancos de Rueda lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with nine games lost. Cajasol will face Valencia Basket (#7) on the road in the next round. Blancos de Rueda will play against Gran Canaria 2014 (#12) in Las Palmas.
