The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Napoli (10-4) on the court of sixth ranked Matera on Monday night. Visitors were defeated by Matera 76-70. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Napoli won third quarter 19-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Matera made 22-of-23 free shots (95.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Napoli turnovers. 24 personal fouls committed by Napoli helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities.
