Regular Season Day 3: IRAQ - SUDAN 89-60

Iraq celebrated the initial victory at Pan Arab Games tonight. The team won over Sudan 89:60 to finish third in the Group A. Sudan meanwhile lost the third straight game and finished on the fourth position. Sudan enjoyed 9:6 early in the game and won the first period 19:15. They also looked better in the second frame and reached 35:29 at the halftime. The third quarter however completely belonged to the Asian side. With 32-6 Iraq won the third frame and had 61:41 at the end of thirty minutes. Another productive last stanza gave them 29-point victory. Qutaiba Al-Doori paced all the winners with 22 points and Ali Al-Juboori scored 20. Ali Ismael nailed 13, while Ahmed Al-Nasrawi delivered 10. Kamal Elfadel finished the game with 21 points in defeat and Alaa Eldin notched 19.
