No shocking result in a game when tenth ranked Staco MNLK (5-7) edged 13th ranked Pulaski Warka (2-10) in Niepolomice 90-87 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 90-87. Staco MNLK dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Pulaski Warka's 42 and made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Staco MNLK forced 23 Pulaski Warka turnovers. Strangely Pulaski Warka outrebounded Staco MNLK 26-13 including 20 on the defensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Staco MNLK made 15 blocks. Quite impressive performance for guard Szymon Kunc (193-80) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Staco MNLK moved-up to ninth place in Group C, which they share with Wisla AWF Kr. Newly promoted Pulaski Warka keeps the thirteenth position with ten games lost. Staco MNLK will face AZS II Polit.W-wa (#12) in Warszawa in the next round. Pulaski Warka will play on the road against Unia Tarnow.
