Very important is a home loss of second ranked Spot Up Medien Baskets (10-5) against seventh ranked RSV Eintracht (9-6) on Saturday night. Host Spot Up Medien Baskets were defeated by RSV Eintracht in a tough game in Braunschweig 88-93. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Spot Up Medien Baskets. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Spot Up Medien Baskets won third quarter 32-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when RSV Eintracht won last quarter 25-22. RSV Eintracht outrebounded Spot Up Medien Baskets 48-25 including a 24-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by American guard Keoni Watson (178-84, college: Idaho, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who scored that evening 33 points (!!!) and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and the other American import forward Kellen Williams (194-84, college: E.Washington, agency: Dynamics Global Management) supported him with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Even 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists by Cuban swingman Howard Sant-Roos (198-91) did not help to save the game for Spot Up Medien Baskets. Center Daniel Theis (207-92) added 19 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Four RSV Eintracht and five Spot Up Medien Baskets players scored in double figures. Spot Up Medien Baskets' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. RSV Eintracht moved-up to fourth place in Group North, which they share with Schwelm. Loser Spot Up Medien Baskets dropped to the third position with five games lost. RSV Eintracht will meet at home Hertener Loewen (#6) in the next round. Spot Up Medien Baskets will play against SSV Lok Bernau and hope to secure a win.
