Regular Season Round 15: Napoli - Anagni 83-54
Date: December 18, 2011
No shocking result in a game when first ranked Napoli (11-4) outleveled at home 5th ranked Anagni (6-9) 83-54 on Sunday. The game without a history. Napoli led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 19 Anagni turnovers and outrebounded them 38-25 including 29 on the defensive glass. Napoli shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Napoli made 7 blocks. It was a great evening for naturalized Argentinian guard Bernardo Musso (192-86) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Center Andrea Iannilli (207-84) helped adding 9 points and 11 rebounds. The best for the losing side was the former international guard Andrea Malamov (196-83) with 19 points and 4 steals and naturalized Argentinian center Diego Corral (205-86, agency: Players Group) scored 9 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Napoli maintains first place with 11-4 record. Loser Anagni keeps the fifth position with nine games lost. Napoli will face Mazzeo San Severo (#4) on the road in the next round. Anagni will play against Recanati and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
