Regular Season Round 13: Austin T. - Texas L. 116-99

The Austin Toros routed the visiting Texas Legends 116-99 Sunday afternoon behind 21 big points from backup point guard Solomon Bozeman and 20 points and five assists from off-guard Myles McKay. Power forward Anthony Vereen led the Legends with 25 points while small forward Dominique Johnson tallied 23 points and a team-high 13 rebounds in defeat. Behind a Cedar Park Center crowd of 3,197 screaming Toros' fans, Austin used a 62-point first half outburst to lead Texas by 20 at the break. The Toros (6-3) would go on to lead by as much as 23 handing Texas its' eighth loss of the season and pulling them to within just a 1/2 game of the West Conference leading Los Angeles Defenders. Combo-forward Omar Reed put in a solid effort posting 18 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the field. He added five rebounds and two steals for the victorious Toros on the night. Legends veteran Head Coach Del Harris was ejected late in the third quarter after receiving his second technical for arguing a perceived bad call. Austin will not suit up again until next Friday December 23rd when they travel to Indiana to face the Fort Wayne Mad Ants from the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
