Egypt registered the first win at the second stage of Pan Arab Games. They held off Tunisia to improve at 1-0 record in Group E. Tunisia fell at 1-1 record. Amr El Gandy nailed 17 points for the winners. Egypt jumped into the lead early in the game but Tunisia bounced back to take a 14:13 lead after ten minutes. Egypt quickly regained the lead and maintained it throughout the second frame. They posted a 36:32 halftime advantage. The margin grew at double digits in the third period. Egypt entered the final frame up by 11 points 56:45. They quickly stretched the lead to 16 points and never looked back en route to the victory. Assem Marei notched 13 points and 9 rebounds, while Ganadi Shrief posted 12 points in the victory. Bechir Hadidane replied with 14 points and 10 rebounds for Tunisia. Mourad El Mabrouk provided 12 points in defeat.
