Second Stage Day 3: PALESTINE - SUDAN 87-67

Palestine registered the first win at the second stage of Pan Arab Games. They held off Sudan in Group G to improve at 1-1 record. Jamal Abu-Shamala fired 32 points and grabbed 9 rebounds to lead the winners. Sudan fell at 0-2 record after the loss. Sudan stayed competitive in the starting quarter. They earned a narrow 26:25 lead after ten minutes of action. But Palestine opened the second quarter on a 17:3 run to surge ahead. Palestine ensured a 51:36 halftime advantage. They maintained the lead throughout the third frame. They built a 69:55 advantage at the final intermission. Palestine never allowed Sudan closer throughout the final frame and rolled to a comfortable win at the end. Nicola Fadayel posted 22 points, while Yahya AlKhatib had 12 points for the winning side. Kamal Elfadel notched 30 points and 13 rebounds for Sudan. Alaa Eldin and Orsd Hamend chipped in 9 points each in defeat.
