Regular Season Round 18: Eco Orebro - Solna 71-85

Date: December 20, 2011
Bottom-ranked Eco Orebro (0-18) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 85-71 loss to eighth ranked Solna Vikings (9-9) in Orebro. Eco Orebro was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. American guard Tyler Laser (185, college: E.Illinois, agency: Warren Sports International) notched 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and Icelandic guard Logi Gunnarsson (190-81) supported him with 21 points and 5 assists. Four Solna Vikings players scored in double figures. Solna Vikings' coach Torbjorn Gehrke allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 19 points and 17 rebounds by American center Bernard Toombs (208-87, college: Troy) did not help to save the game for Eco Orebro. His fellow American import forward Demond Watt (200-89, college: Texas A&M-CC) added 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Solna Vikings moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Uppsala. Eco Orebro at the other side still closes the standings. Solna Vikings' next round opponent will be Uppsala Basket (#7) on the road. Eco Orebro will play against Sundsvall Dragons and hopes to get finally their first victory.
