An interesting game for Universitet-Yugra (10-5) which hosted in Surgut second-best Ataman (11-4). Third ranked Universitet-Yugra had an easy win 91-64. The game without a history. Universitet-Yugra led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 17-of-18 charity shots (94.4 percent) during the game. Universitet-Yugra had a 28-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Lithuanian guard Linas Lekavicius (186-84, college: American) scored 14 points and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Denis Hloponin (206-81) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Universitet-Yugra players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Nikita Gresev (204-88) with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and the former international guard Sergei Vorotnikov (194-78) scored 14 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Universitet-Yugra maintains third position with 10-5 record having just -8 point less than leader Ural Ekaterinb. Newly promoted Ataman keeps the second place with four games lost. Universitet-Yugra will again play against league's second-placed Ataman in Rostov in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ataman will have a break next round.
