Eighth ranked Liaoning Hunters (8-7) crushed at home 10th ranked Bayi Fubang (6-8) by 19 points 103-84, which is the biggest margin this round on Sunday night. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Liaoning Hunters outrebounded Bayi Fubang 57-32 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Liaoning Hunters made 9 blocks. Bayi Fubang was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a quality performance of center Dejun Han (215-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds and American forward Josh Powell (206-83, college: N.Carolina St., agency: Strategic Sports) who added 21 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side international forward Lehei De (208-87) responded with 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (made all of his thirteen free throws !!!) and the former international center ZhiZhi Wang (214-77) scored 15 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Liaoning Hunters moved-up to sixth place, which they share with DongGuan L. Bayi Fubang lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with eight games lost. Liaoning Hunters will face higher ranked Zhejiang Cyclones (#4) in Hangzhou in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Bayi Fubang will play at home against the league's second-placed Guandong Tigers (#2) in Dongguan.
