Regular Season Round 16: Jilin NE T. - Zhejiang CB 90-100

Very predictable result in Changchun where fifth ranked Zhejiang Cyclones (9-5) defeated 12th ranked Jilin Tigers (6-9) 100-90 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Zhejiang Cyclones. Jilin Tigers was better in second period 28-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Jilin Tigers 50-21 including a 35-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Zhejiang Cyclones especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard J.R. Smith (198-85) who helped to win the game recording 36 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and the other American import power forward Josh Boone (208-84, college: Connecticut) who added 25 points and 16 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Zhejiang Cyclones players scored in double figures. At the losing side American swingman Cartier Martin (201-84, college: Kansas St.) responded with 47 points (!!!) and 5 assists and forward Cheng Zhong (206-89) scored 6 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Jilin Tigers' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Zhejiang Cyclones moved-up to fourth place. Loser Jilin Tigers keep the twelfth position with nine games lost. Zhejiang Cyclones will face Liaoning Hunters (#7) in Yingkou in the next round. Jilin Tigers will play at home against Jiangsu Dragons (#17) in Nanjing.
