Very expected game when 8th ranked Basketbal Svitavy (7-12) was defeated on the road by third ranked BK Prostejov (15-3) 71-54. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when BK Prostejov's pressure prevailed and they won that period 21-8 extending their advantage to 17 points. It was an exceptional evening for American center Travis Peterson (208-85, college: Samford, agency: Edge Sports) who led the winners and scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Lithuanian guard Arvydas Eitutavicius (188-82, college: his fellow American import) accounted for 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. BK Prostejov's coach Zbynek Choleva allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Congolese-French forward Boris Meno (203-83, college: Davidson) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 17 rebounds and power forward Ladislav Horak (205-86) added 9 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Basketbal Svitavy in the defeat. BK Prostejov have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 15-3 record having four points less than leader CEZ Nymburk. Basketbal Svitavy at the other side keeps the eighth position with 12 games lost. BK Prostejov will play against league's second-placed BK Pardubice on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Basketbal Svitavy will play against B&W Opava (#13) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
