Regular Season Round 18: Austin T. - Springfield A. 106-90

The Austin Toros stayed hot defeating the visiting Springfield Armor 106-90 Friday night behind 17 points and 14 rebounds from big man Eric Dawson and 23 points and six rebounds from forward Terrance Woodbury. Austin used a 29-12 second quarter blitz to push their halftime advantage to 15 points and would never trail again. Former Miami Heat small forward Da'Sean Butler tallied 15 points in a winning effort and point guard Justin Dentmon added 21 to go along with eight rebounds for the victorious Toros. The Armor (7-7) were led by JamesOn Curry's 22 points and five assists while center Jeff Foote chipped in 15 points and 13 rebounds in the loss. Austin's stingy defense forced the Armor into 23 pivotal turnovers on the night. The Toros have won four straight and six of their last seven ball games to now sit firmly in first place in the West Conference standings with an impressive 9-3 record. Leo Lyons scored 3 points on 1-of-4 shooting in just 14 minutes of action in this his second game back. Toros' small forward Jamarr Sanders put in a solid effort stuffing the stat sheet with 15 points, 10 rebounds and six assists in 32 minutes of action.
