The game in Wulguru supposed to be also quite interesting. Second ranked Perth Wildcats (10-5) played at the court of 5th ranked Townsville Crocodiles (6-6). Perth Wildcats smashed Townsville Crocodiles 97-76 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Perth Wildcats. Townsville Crocodiles managed to win second period 28-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Perth Wildcats dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Townsville Crocodiles' 40. They outrebounded Townsville Crocodiles 44-25 including 16 on the offensive glass. Perth Wildcats looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Townsville Crocodiles' players. The former international center Luke Nevill (218-86, college: Utah) fired 21 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. American guard Kevin Lisch (188-86, college: St.Louis, agency: Warren Sports International) chipped in 16 points and 8 assists. Perth Wildcats' coach Rob Beveridge felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international swingman Peter Crawford (193-79) produced 14 points and 6 rebounds and the former international center Luke Schenscher (216-82, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Priority Sports) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Perth Wildcats and five Townsville Crocodiles players scored in double figures. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Breakers. Loser Townsville Crocodiles dropped to the sixth place with six games lost. They share the position with Blaze.
