Everything went according to plan when second ranked BK Prostejov (17-3) outplayed at home 6th ranked USK Praha (13-8) 81-60 on Wednesday. The game without a history. BK Prostejov led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to USK Praha's 20. They outrebounded USK Praha 48-31 including a 35-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. American center Bertengeh Gadri-Nicholson (208-83, college: Denver) nailed 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and Slovakian forward Dusan Pandula (196-84) accounted for 15 points and 7 rebounds. The former international forward Vojtech Hruban (202-89) came up with 14 points and the former international center Stanislav Votroubek (212-81) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for USK Praha in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for BK Prostejov. They maintain second place with 17-3 record having four points less than leader CEZ Nymburk. Loser USK Praha keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. BK Prostejov will meet NH Ostrava (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. USK Praha will play against BK Pardubice and hope to secure a win.
