The game with biggest result difference took place in DongGuan. Local DongGuan Leopards (11-8) outscored 17th ranked Jiangsu Dragons (4-15) 108-84. It looked good early as Jiangsu Dragons took an 9-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then DongGuan Leopards took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 24 points. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Jiangsu Dragons' 38 and made 22-of-26 charity shots (84.6 percent) during the game. The winners were led by Nigerian-American guard Josh-Emmanuel Akognon (180-86, college: CS Fullerton) who scored that evening 29 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and American forward Shavlik Randolph (208-83, college: Duke) supported him with 29 points and 14 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). DongGuan Leopards' coach Brian Goorjian felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 30 points and 7 rebounds by the former international swingman Da Meng (196-82) did not help to save the game for Jiangsu Dragons. The former international forward Yahui Liu (206-88) added 23 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. DongGuan Leopards maintains fifth position with 11-8 record, which they share with Liaoning H. and Shanghai S. Jiangsu Dragons at the other side stay at the bottom place with 15 games lost. DongGuan Leopards' next round opponent will be higher ranked Beijing Ducks (#3) on the road and it may be quite challenging game. Jiangsu Dragons will play against Fujian SBS XunXin (#9) in Jinjiang.
