The game in Pasvalys was also worth to mention about. Second ranked Russian Triumph Lyubertsy (8-3) played at the court of 5th ranked Lithuanian Pieno Zvaigzdes (6-5). Triumph Lyubertsy managed to secure a 7-point victory 76-69. It looked good early as Pieno Zvaigzdes took an 4-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Triumph Lyubertsy had a 26-17 second period charge getting the lead and Pieno Zvaigzdes were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 69-76. 26 personal fouls committed by Pieno Zvaigzdes helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Triumph Lyubertsy maintains second place in Elite with 8-3 record having just two points less than leader Siauliai, which they share with Kalev/Cramo. Newly promoted Pieno Zvaigzdes dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. Triumph Lyubertsy will have a break next round. Pieno Zvaigzdes will play on the road against Rudupis (#4) in Prienai and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
