Regular Season Round 17: Sudety - Sportino 73-84

Everything could happen in Jelenia Gora at the game between two tied teams. Both fourteenth ranked Sportino and 15th ranked Sudety had identical 2-13 record. But Sudety was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Inowroclaw 84-73 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Sportino. Sudety was better in fourth quarter 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sportino forced 25 Sudety turnovers. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Grzegorz Kukielka (192-83) who scored 22 points and 5 assists. Guard Dawid Adamczewski (190-91) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. Four Sportino players scored in double figures. Guard Lukasz Niesobski (185-85) produced 23 points and 5 assists and guard Bartlomiej Jozefowicz (192-80) added 14 points respectively for the hosts. Sudety's coach Ireneusz Taraszkiewicz rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Sportino (3-13) moved-up to thirteenth place. Sudety lost tenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. Sportino will face higher ranked SKK Siedlce (#6) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sudety will play against Spojnia (#4) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
