The game between closely ranked teams ended with tenth ranked Levharti Chomutov's (8-14) home victory over 11th ranked BK Usti nad Labem (6-16) 95-87 on Saturday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 30-21. But BK Usti nad Labem won second period 33-30. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Levharti Chomutov made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. BK Usti nad Labem was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American guard Patrick Pope (183-81, college: St.Augustine) who helped to win the game recording 23 points. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Levharti Chomutov moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Levice and Svitavy. BK Usti nad Labem lost eighth consecutive game. BK Usti nad Labem at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eleventh position with 16 games lost. Levharti Chomutov will face bottom-ranked Inter Bratislava (#14) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. BK Usti nad Labem will play against BK Decin.
