The game was mostly controlled by Barreteros. Abejas was better in second period 27-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Barreteros shot 60.3 percent from the field. Barreteros outrebounded Abejas 35-23 including a 27-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 66.7 percentage. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a quality performance of guard Glenn Stokes (170-76, college: American, agency: R.H.Consultancy) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 5 assists and forward Jerome Habel (208-85, college: San Diego St.) who added 18 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) during the contest. At the losing side forward Lorrenzo Wade (198-85, college: San Diego St.) responded with 17 points and forward Marcus Jackson (202-82, college: Marquette, agency: Court Side) scored 8 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
