Regular Season Round 22: NH Ostrava - BK Prostejov 79-82

Seventh-ranked NH Ostrava (10-12) used its home court advantage to challenge second ranked BK Prostejov (18-3) on Saturday. The visitors from Prostejov managed to secure only three-point victory 82-79. However their fans expected much easier game. NH Ostrava trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 29-19 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 79-82 at the end of the game. Strangely NH Ostrava outrebounded BK Prostejov 37-23 including 28 on the offensive glass. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of center Bertengeh Gadri-Nicholson (208-83, college: Denver) who helped to win the game recording 23 points (made all of his seven free throws). Guard Jamar Smith (191-87, college: S.Indiana, agency: KMG Sports Management) contributed with 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. BK Prostejov's coach Zbynek Choleva used entire bench in such tough game. Center James Hughes (211-83, college: N.Illinois, agency: I.D.S. Law) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and swingman Riley Luettgerodt (196-85, college: Hawaii, agency: I.D.S. Law) added 20 points (made all of his ten free throws !!!) in the effort for NH Ostrava. BK Prostejov have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 18-3 record having four points less than leader CEZ Nymburk. NH Ostrava at the other side keeps the seventh place with 12 games lost. BK Prostejov are looking forward to face league's leader CEZ Nymburk on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. NH Ostrava will play against BK Pardubice (#3) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
