Regular Season Round 22: Guangdong ST - Qingdao E. 127-117

CBA top team - Guandong Tigers (17-4) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat eleventh ranked Qingdao Double Star (9-12) in Dongguan 127-117. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Qingdao Double Star. The game was mostly controlled by Guandong Tigers. Qingdao Double Star was better in third quarter 30-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Guandong Tigers made 21-of-26 charity shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard XiaoYu Liu (191-89) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 4 assists. American point guard Aaron Brooks (183-85, college: Oregon) contributed with 16 points and 5 assists for the winners. American guard Lester Hudson (191-84, college: Tenn-Martin) replied with 32 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals and Nigerian-British power forward Olumide Oyedeji (208-81) added 15 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists (made all of his seven free throws) in the effort for Qingdao Double Star. Five Guandong Tigers and four Qingdao Double Star players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Guandong Tigers have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 17-4 record. Qingdao Double Star at the other side keeps the eleventh place with 12 games lost. Guandong Tigers' next round opponent will be Shandong Bulls (#12) in Jinan which should be an easy win for them. Qingdao Double Star will play on the road against DongGuan Leopards.
