Regular Season Round 15: Vanoli CR - Cimberio VA 69-61

There was a surprise result when sixteenth ranked Vanoli-Braga (5-10) beat higher ranked Cimberio Varese (7-7) in Cremona 69-61 on Sunday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Cimberio Varese won third quarter 17-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Vanoli-Braga forced 19 Cimberio Varese turnovers. Strangely Cimberio Varese outrebounded Vanoli-Braga 40-26 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for Belgian point guard Beye Tabu-Eboma (190-85) who led his team to a victory with 15 points. The former international guard Daniele Cinciarini (194-83) contributed with 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. French forward Yakhouba Diawara (201-82, college: Pepperdine) answered with 21 points and 7 rebounds and Estonian forward Kristjan Kangur (201-82) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Cimberio Varese. Cimberio Varese's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Vanoli-Braga moved-up to fifteenth place. Loser Cimberio Varese keeps the eighth position with seven games lost. Vanoli-Braga will have a break next round.
