Very important is a road loss of third ranked Banvit BK (10-4) against eighth ranked Aliaga (8-6) on Sunday night. Visiting Banvit BK was defeated by Aliaga in a tough game in Aliaga 65-70. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Banvit BK. Banvit BK was ahead by 9 points at the halftime before a 29-12 third quarter run of Aliaga. The former international forward Umit Sonkol (206-82) scored 22 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Kevinn Pinkney (207-83, college: Nevada) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) during the contest.
