Regular Season Round 22: Beijing Ducks - Fujian QB 105-109

The most important game in the last round took place in Beijing between third ranked Beijing Ducks (14-7) and seventh ranked Fujian SBS XunXin (12-9) on Sunday night. Beijing Ducks were defeated by Fujian SBS XunXin in a tough game at home 105-109. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Beijing Ducks won third quarter 30-26. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Beijing Ducks 56-42 including 42 on the defensive glass. American center Will McDonald (211-79, college: S.Florida) had a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!), 17 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Anthony Roberson (188-83, college: Florida) chipped in 27 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Fujian SBS XunXin's coach Joseph Stiebing used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side American power forward Randolph Morris (211-86, college: Kentucky) responded with a double-double by scoring 31 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks and forward Xiaochuan Zhai (205-93) scored 20 points and 7 rebounds. Five Beijing Ducks players scored in double figures. Fujian SBS XunXin have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain seventh position with 12-9 record. Beijing Ducks lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the second place with seven games lost. They share the position with Guangsha L.. Fujian SBS XunXin are looking forward to face TianJin Rongcheng (#16) in Tianjin in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Beijing Ducks will play on the road against Xinjiang Flying Tige (#10) in Urumqi and are hoping to win this game.
