Regular Season Round 17: Washington W. - Toronto R. 93-78
Date: January 10, 2012
Rashard Lewis and Nick Young each had 15 points to lead the Washington Wizards to their first win after eight straight losses, a 93-78 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday night. After the worst start in franchise history, Coach Flip Saunders left Andray Blatche and Lewis on the bench to start the game. It was the first time this season Blatche didn't start. Before the game, a team official said Blatche had a right shoulder injury, and his participation would be a game-time decision. Trevor Booker and Chris Singleton started in their places, but Blatche and Lewis, who missed Sunday's game with a sore right knee, entered the game with three minutes to play in the first quarter. Blatche had nine points and eight rebounds in 25 minutes. John Wall tied his season high with nine assists, but missed nine of 12 shots. In his last two games, Wall is 6 for 21 from the field. Toronto, which was playing its second of three games in three nights, was led by Andrea Bargnani with 22 points. *Courtesy of www.mercurynews.com
