Quarter-Finals Round 2: Fuerza Regia - Huracanes 88-71

The game was mostly controlled by Fuerza Regia. Huracanes managed to win fourth quarter 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. American guard Donta Smith (201-83, college: SE Illinois JC) notched 15 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 8 steals (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) to lead the effort and the other American import point guard Mike Mitchell (181-83, college: N.Mexico St.) supported him with 20 points. Even a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds by American center Elbert Fuqua (211-83, college: UTSA) did not help to save the game for Huracanes. Venezuelan forward Nestor Colmenares (203-87, college: Campbellsville) added 16 points for the guests. Five Fuerza Regia and four Huracanes players scored in double figures. Huracanes' coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win.
