The game between Top Four teams took place in Waterloo. Third ranked host Laurier (8-3) defeated 4th placed Lakehead (6-5). It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Lakehead. The game without a history. Laurier led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game, while Lakehead only scored five points from the stripe. Laurier forced 21 Lakehead turnovers. It was a great evening for guard Felicia Mazerolle (160) who led her team to a victory scoring 18 points and 5 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Forward Doreen Bonsu (173) helped adding 13 points and 11 rebounds. Laurier's coach Paul Falco used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The best for the losing side was forward Lindsay Druery (185-88) with 15 points and 9 rebounds and guard Carolyn Fragale (168-89) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Laurier. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Alberta and UFV. Loser Lakehead keeps the fourth position with five games lost. Laurier will face again Lakehead (#4) in Thunder Bay in the next round.
