Regular Season Round 18: BSW Sixers - Leipzig 75-90

The most shocking disappointment of round 18 in the ProB was a home defeat of 3rd ranked BSW Sixers (10-6) by fourth ranked USC Leipzig (11-5) who outscored them by 15 points 90-75. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. USC Leipzig made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. USC Leipzig had a 24-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. 25 personal fouls committed by BSW Sixers helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard Lamar Morinia (183-81, college: Montana St.-N.) scored 25 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Monyea Pratt (196-85, college: Stillman) chipped in 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Sascha Ahnsehl (186-86) with 14 points and 7 assists and American forward Aaron Fleetwood (206-84, college: Delaware St., agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. USC Leipzig moved-up to third place in Group South. BSW Sixers lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. USC Leipzig are looking forward to face Licher Baeren (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite. BSW Sixers will play against Fraport Skyliners II in Frankfurt and are hoping to win this game.
