Rather predictable result when fifth ranked Sao Jose (4-2) smashed at home 7th ranked Blumenau (1-5) 82-53 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Sao Jose. Blumenau was better in second period 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sao Jose forced 24 Blumenau turnovers and outrebounded them 40-21 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Izabela De Andrade (185-86) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 7 rebounds and the former international center Alessandra De Oliviera (201-73) who added 17 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Cuban forward Yulianne Rodriguez (185-82) responded with 24 points and 7 rebounds and forward Lais de Sousa (176-87) scored 9 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sao Jose moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Ourinhos. Blumenau lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with five games lost.
