Regular Season Round 15: Geneve Lions - Boncourt 98-83

There was no surprise when 7th ranked Boncourt (4-9) was defeated on the road by second ranked Geneve Lions (10-3) 98-83. The game was mostly controlled by Geneve Lions. Boncourt was better in fourth quarter 28-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Geneve Lions players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. The game was dominated by American players. It was a good game for forward Sean Barnette (195-86, college: Wingate, agency: Warren Sports International) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Power forward Erroyl Bing (198-82, college: E.Carolina) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Five Geneve Lions players scored in double figures. Forward Lamar Roberson (203-86, college: La-Lafayette) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks and point guard John Sharper (186-84, college: San Diego St.) added 20 points in the effort for Boncourt. Boncourt's coach Antoine Petitjean rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Geneve Lions maintains second place with 10-3 record having just two points less than leader Lugano Tigers. Boncourt at the other side keeps the seventh position with nine games lost. Geneve Lions will play against Monthey (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Boncourt will play against Fribourg (#4) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
