It was an exceptional evening for Venezuelan point guard Gregory Vargas (182-86) who led the winners and scored 24 points and 6 rebounds. Puerto Rican point guard Carlos Rivera (187-83, college: Hofstra, agency: Paris Global Sports) accounted for 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. American guard Louis White (192-76, college: Voorhees) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and U.S. Virgin Isl. Center JaJa Richards (207-75, college: Loyola, IL) added 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Barreteros in the defeat. Five Barreteros players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
