Ninth-ranked Spartak V. (3-14) was very close to win a game against third ranked TEMP-SUMZ Revda (11-6) on Tuesday. TEMP-SUMZ Revda managed to secure only two-point victory 57-55. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 22-11. But Spartak V. won second period 18-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. TEMP-SUMZ Revda forced 24 Spartak V. turnovers. The winners were led by forward Stanislav Sotnikov (200-85, agency: RIZO) who scored that evening 15 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Aleksandr Zaykin (208-84) supported him with 12 points and 5 rebounds. Even 12 points and 5 rebounds by forward Andrey Petukhov (204-86) did not help to save the game for Spartak V.. Power forward Andrei Babitchev (210-85, agency: Interperformances) added 2 points and 10 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. TEMP-SUMZ Revda have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 11-6 record having just -9 point less than leader Ural Ekaterinb. Spartak V. lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom place with 14 games lost. TEMP-SUMZ Revda will again meet at home bottom-ranked Spartak V. (#9) in the next round where they are favorite.
