The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 24-21. But Soles won second period 18-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Pioneros made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Pioneros outrebounded Soles 37-22 including 26 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard LeRoy Hickerson (196-82, college: Cumberlands) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import forward John Millsap (198-82, college: UTSA) who added 17 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Millsap is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side Canadian power forward Ryan Wright (206-87, college: Oklahoma) responded with 19 points and 9 rebounds and American power forward Darren Fells (201-86, college: Cal-Irvine) scored 15 points. Five Soles players scored in double figures.
