Benetton claimed a tough home win over ALBA Berlin at the start of EuroCup Last 16 stage. Jobey Thomas scored 14 points to pace the Treviso team to the victory. Benetton gained a 22:17 lead ten minutes into the game. They maintained the advantage throughout the second quarter. The hosts established a 44:31 halftime lead. ALBA however picked up the tempo in the third stanza. The German team finally started to show offensive aggressiveness. ALBA nailed 23 points to trim the deficit to 4 points 54:58. ALBA got within two points in the fourth term but Bulleri and Goree came up for Benetton and restored a safe distance for the hosts. Benetton hung on to snatch an important home win at the end. Benjamin Ortner scored 13 points, while Jeffrey Viggiano added 12 points for the winning side. DaShaun Wood answered with 18 points for ALBA. Kyle Weaver finished with 13 points in the loss.
