Regular Season Round 24: BC Kolin - BK Prostejov 85-87

The most exciting game of round 24 in the NBL took place in Kolin. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 4th ranked BC Kolin (16-8) to second ranked BK Prostejov (20-4) 87-85 on Wednesday evening. The guests trailed by 9 points after three quarters before their 28-17 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of international guard Pavel Slezak (186-84) who helped to win the game recording 22 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and Lithuanian guard Arvydas Eitutavicius (188-82, college: American) who added 18 points during the contest. BK Prostejov's coach Zbynek Choleva used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was forward Jiri Jelinek (203-87) with 23 points and 9 rebounds and American forward Richard Field (196-85, college: Mercyhurst) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Five BC Kolin players scored in double figures. BK Prostejov maintains second position with 20-4 record having just three points less than leader CEZ Nymburk. BC Kolin at the other side dropped to the fifth place with eight games lost. BK Prostejov are looking forward to face BK Decin (#4) at home in the next round. BC Kolin will play against BK Loko Plzen and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
