Fifth-ranked Aalborg (7-11) gave a tough game to third ranked Naestved (12-7) on Thursday. Naestved managed to secure only three-point victory 91-88. However their fans expected easier game. The hosts trailed by 15 points at the halftime before their 28-12 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 11-8. Naestved made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 Aalborg turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Naestved made 8 blocks. Aalborg was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for point guard Corin Henry (180-88, college: Tarleton St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Jordan Glynn (200-89, college: SF Austin, agency: I.D.S. Law) helped adding 18 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side point guard Ryan White (177-88, college: Texas St.) responded with 40 points (!!!), 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and forward Tony Bishop (201-89, college: Texas St.) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Naestved maintains third place with 12-7 record having four points less than leader Bakken. Aalborg at the other side dropped to the sixth position with 11 games lost. Naestved will face Horsholm (#5) on the road in the next round. Aalborg will play against the league's leader Bakken in Aarhus.
