Regular Season Round 24: Svitavy - Loko Plzen 86-60

Date: January 21, 2012
Rather predictable result when tenth ranked Basketbal Svitavy (9-15) smashed at home 12th ranked BK Loko Plzen (5-18) 86-60 on Saturday. The game without a history. Basketbal Svitavy led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of Congolese-French forward Boris Meno (203-83, college: Davidson) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Tomas Macela (179-88) who added 16 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Ladislav Toth (196-83) with 14 points and power forward Jaroslav Kovanda (204-82) scored 12 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Basketbal Svitavy moved-up to ninth place. BK Loko Plzen lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 18 games lost. Basketbal Svitavy will face higher ranked NH Ostrava (#7) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. BK Loko Plzen will play against BC Kolin (#5).
